Anuj completed high school in Shepparton and subsequently moved to regional NSW to complete medical school through the University of New England. In 2014, he returned to Victoria to pursue postgraduate training at Eastern Health and completed his Gastroenterology advanced training through Eastern and Monash Health obtaining his FRACP in Gastroenterology in 2020. He now combines his work in private practice with a VMO Gastroenterologist appointment at Eastern Health. In 2021, Anuj completed an Intestinal Ultrasound Fellowship at the Alfred Hospital and has since developed and leads an Intestinal Ultrasound service for Eastern Health inflammatory bowel disease patients.
Anuj is also pursuing a PhD through Monash University in “optimising the quality and utility of non-invasive methods of disease assessment in inflammatory bowel disease”. He has presented his research findings at national conferences and published in international journals. His research work has also introduced the provision of a new Crohn’s capsule endoscopy service at Eastern Health specifically for patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Anuj is an experienced and conjoint credentialled endoscopist providing gastroscopy and colonoscopy services. He consults in all areas of gastroenterology with a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease, functional bowel disorders and liver diseases.
